Mmmm! Likewise, I love snow - everything about it! That sound of walking on fresh snow, the look it lends to entire landscapes, the fun you can have with snowballs and even full-on sculpting, that wonderfully crisp feel to the air, the frosty sunrises..

So, of course, my life seems to be forever in temperate climes. ^_^; Still, when finances stabilise again, I'm quite tempted to pick up a bit of land in SL - if things are going well, maybe even a full homestead sim, which I'd then be able to terraform to my liking. But there's a decent amount of snowy SL land, even if the popular preference seems to be for either pastoral land or tropical islands.

Oof, -31C! That's definitely getting down there. That's about as cool as it got in Minneapolis - thankfully, the place tends to see very little wind, so even at around -20F, it's still perfectly enjoyable, but below that, even the breeze from walking starts to feel rather chilly.

Sure you're not another snowshoe hare? ^_^

Tee hee, I have to say there is some kind of charm when you hear snow crackling under your feet! And winter landscapes are absolutely astonishing.

I recall many a time I would go on night walks in the middle of the night in deep winter, gazing at the beautiful moon-like appearance of the surrounding area. At full moon on a clear and frosty night you can't beat the impression this makes, the snow sparkling in the moonlight and biting frost, feels very unearthly ^^

As for my preferred climate, I like heat but to be honest you do get more of an appreciation for spring and summer if you have to go through several months of cold first :P

I used to spend hours playing in the snow as a kid, so much that my sleeves would freeze rock solid as I got back home. Winter was appreciated, especially around Christmas time, but then again sometimes it'd last for half a year where I lived, and six months of constant whiteness outside can start getting your mood down a lot XD

Of course! That's why I always chuckle when I hear severe weather warnings for -10C XD
