Oh christ I saw this and I was like "wait, what year is it now?" xD
I like it! I agree that maybe some font tweaking/repositioning might be in order. Something a bit more elegant perhaps? Doesn't have to be overwhelming or ugly cursive or anything. Also, I feel like there should be either a space or a hyphen between Pre and Order as they are two separate words. Maybe a little less negative space in the background? Like some little painterly landscaping or architecture or something? You could still do the cloudy/sandstorm-y thing in front. I dunno, I feel like a stronger composition would really draw people's attention :>
Jus' thoughts! It's really pretty as is. Iris is a very compelling character to look at and I'm sure she'd be a cover girl that people would be drawn to.
I know! When I wrote this, I was like... "Two thousand... ELEVEN!?" Made me stop and think for a minute hehe. THANK YOU for the Pre-Order thing, I knew something looked weird there. I'll play around with the negative space too.
Hahaha I was like HURR OMG WHAT THAT'S SO COOL and then I read the text.
Hmm, personally I'd prefer my preview to give me more of an indication of what the story's about, but that's probably personal taste. As a striking image it does pretty well, and I like the way you're drawing attention to the text by having her look at it.
I'm still not 100% on this, I want to play with some other mock ups and see what people think. I have until next summer to figure it out. I was also considering doing something along the lines of a movie poster. Hopefully I'll have time to do it. :]
