I think it's a sad state of the times when people get more up in arms because Santorum almost says 'nigger', instead of getting upset over his RADICALLY CRAZY BATSHIT LEGISLATIVE IDEAS

I have been pissed off at the quality of the Republican nominees all along. Unfortunately, this is what the base, which is composed almost entirely of scumbag millionaires and crazy church people, wants in their candidates. The whole run up to the primaries was about constantly swapping the current frontrunner with whoever had least recently said something unforgettably stupid, which is how Newt Gingrich charged to the front for a little while there, and how Romney, who tended to say very little, held on to win it.
Not like it matters to me, though. I vowed to never vote Republican again after 2008. And with the sort of candidates they're putting forward, I'm going to be clinging to my Democratic ballot like a drowning man grabbing at straws (with the same level of effectiveness, from a governance standpoint).
I'm pretty thrilled that ron paul did so well in a couple of states- I know a lot of people don't like some of his ideas, but frankly it'll take a pretty outrageous dude to fix what's wrong with the US right now. Going back to a gold standard doesn't work realistically, but making an ATTEMPT to go back to one is BANGARANG.
Anyways, I vote Paul every chance I get. The dem. candidates are just as bad in the vein of 'puppet figureheads', even if they don't say all gays must burn in acid or something. Since when did we need a batshit party anyways?
I really dislike Santorum, and I do find such irony about his war on women or gays, zero fucks are given. Santorum saying (quoting Blazing Saddles), "The Sheriff's a Nigger!" and everyone flips a shit. I'm in agreeing with you, which is worse? The fact that someone like this can run for president and have MASSIVE amounts of support quoting that everyone even the unborn deserve a chance (except if you're gay or not his religion), or the fact that most people don't care what you do, until you say a 6 letter word.
I'll be moving to Arkansas/Texas border later this year where Santorum is held high on a pillar. It might be fun an exciting.
I'm with you. I can't stand him, Gingritch(although to a lesser degree) or Guillianni or whoever the third guy is. The only one I'm interested in is Paul, and he always loses because he loses the 'completely bathshit' vote.
