Get the 50mm 1.8 first. You should be able to find a used one for $60-80. Then start saving your pennies because the 24-70mm 2.8L is around $1000. I rented one to shoot a friends wedding and it was awesome.
I've been lusting after the Sigma 30mm 1.4 that's around $350 on Amazon.
I bought the 50 over five years ago and I cannot imagine living without it. I dropped it on the concrete and it broke in half and I cried. Then my friend fitted it back together and all was well again. Did you see the photos I posted from the show on Facebook?
Next time I see you ask me how the spectacle that UFB put on the other night can together so fast. It's a pretty cool story and one that I had explained to me tonight by three of the former members at the Replay. Let's just say that they are a fairly well connected bunch of guys and that the people that attended that on Thursday night got a whole lot luckier then they probably realize.
