We play board games quite a bit on family nights. That's very cheap and easy. Sometimes we all go to the library together and help each other find a book we think the other's would like. We've also gone bowling on $1 nights. Just some ideas.

We've been talking about going to therapy too. I think we have normal married problems i.e. he feels like he has to explain himself or ask, and I feel like he doesn't take time for us and our communication patterns are completely different and it's like we speak different languages sometimes. We just need someone to help us translate...does it work pretty well for you?

Family nights are a great idea. I'm sure you'll all have fun together.

The therapy's more for us vs. the kid, but we did couple's therapy prior to the wedding, and it helped amazingly. It didn't fix everything, but it helps a lot.
