So, there's this $215 credit I've got with Midwest Airlines from my aborted CMJ trip last fall. I was thinking of going to New York for CMJ this October, but it appears that I'd either have to stay in a hostel by my lonesome, which just looks like trouble, or stay in a hotel, which even at the cheapest would run a grand for the week ( Read more... )

Dude, there are hundreds of Couchsurfers in NYC. You can stay for free!

Not to mention you could also try HospitalityClub.org or GlobalFreeloaders.com

I prefer the interface of Couchsurfing the best though.

Nick, I can see this credit is causing massive amounts of frustration in your life that you don't need. So I tell you what, I'll take the credit off your hands so you won't have to worry about it.
