I had Wolfie fling both NEWS and KAT-TUN at me before I knew Arashi at all, but I didn't fall for any band until I found Arashi - and then it was just one slippery downhill slope.
I don't know why I love them, it completely puzzles me, because I never liked boybands (actually, they sometimes bore me to tears) and I definitely didn't get interested in shiny NEWS or cool KAT-TUN!
Maybe it's really because Arashi are not as good at some stuff as the other bands. They're idols, but they don't really act idol-like all that often. They say stupid stuff, or act awkward, there are times you can see they're embarrassed by what they did/said - but that's what fans can relate to, more than to Ryo's image of "Mr. Cool and Suave" in NEWS, for example. (I actually didn't start liking Ryo until I saw him in Kanjani8, because he's quite different there.)

i love peroxidepest fic very much coz she made the best bleach fic i've ever read
though my number one OTP is ginXaizen/kira (as long as there's gin, i'll love it) but i can't resist to enjoy the other pairing as well coz peroxidepest is awesome<3
i luv every unique voice of NEWS member and Kat-tun definitely has a look.
But Arashi has 'something' to attract ppl with their dorkiness, closeness and awesomeness that make me love them sooo much
Kanjani is unique JE boyband and act silly 24/7 but arashi is more natural (and i luv Ohno very much to fell in lov with other JEgroup)
Tego is cute, and act innocent, but like nagase said, he has poison and i can't lov him wonder why.
