knit the world

I'm learning to KNIT ! I've been meaning to do this for 4-5 years now, had the book and needles and just never did it. And now I am! so there. It's not pretty and all i can do is knit, no purling, just rows and rows of garter stitch! but it makes me so happy, I could just do it all day long! hurrah

congratulations. i haven't had the patience to re learn. i only wished i'd paid attention when my grandmother tried to teach me years ago!

It's much easier than I expected, although I can't do much yet, and I'm hoping that the rest of it isn't too much harder. I tried a sample bit of binding off (?) to finish an edge and I couldn't get it so I decided to just keep knitting and worry about that later. If you once knew how to knit, I would think it couldn't be very hard to relearn. Maybe the complicated bits that I don't know I suppose.
