Despite personal circumstances (described in f-list only posts, as being too boring for general consumption), I'm still getting some reading done. Not to mention gearing up for NaNoWriMo, where, in a first for me, I'm trying a pure SF novel

"Rogue moon Oma rising" pings the same twitch for me that "Mercury retrograde" does -- someone isn't familiar with celestial mechanics. Unless it's better explained than that in the book?

I put the celestial mechanics in this one squarely in the "This is not our world, it all happens by magic" category. Which, since the satellites do in fact produce actual magic, seems fair enough.
