Oh man would I love to come. Unfortunately, I'm writing a second set of programme notes for the SUMS concert last week as part of an essay due in two days. I have roughly 200 of the 1500 required words down. I will likely plagiarise sections of my own work from the first set of programme notes I wrote (though they were only 400 words). This is, officially, the weirdest assignment I will ever have completed.

Hopefully though, to make up for my not coming at all this semester, I will be there A LOT next semester.

Aw, that's okay, honey! It was, as I said, hugely late notice, so I wasn't really expecting anything and am not bothered. Mostly just wanted to have a bit of a sook in public (which turned out to be unnecesary in the end - the concert went well and I didn't have any murderous thoughts! You see, go into things with the lowest possible expectations, and you'll always be pleasantly surprised). And besides, I didn't come to your concert either (which I am very sorry about - I really wanted to go, but just didn't get myself organised in time. We've hit that time in semester where I tend to do that sort of thing, unfortunately), so we're probably even.

But then... I didn't come to your last thing either. Okay, we need to actually organise to do something at some point or else we may never see eachother again at this rate.

Oh god it would be so good to have you there next semester. DAVID!

...i have to say, i'm honestly impressed by your dedication to closing parentheses. i was going to make fun of the fact that you opened one, then used a set inside there and never finished the originals... then you dropped one in at the end. gd

also, you weren't kidding; also also, that actually is a pretty spot-on face

Parentheses, once opened, should always be closed. This is the order by which I live my life. *nods sagely* ... also, I used to tell my history/geography teacher everytime she didn't close hers (which happened constantly, you would not even believe), so me not doing it would make me a hypocrit. Which is a word that I'm sure I'm not spelling right.
