I really liked this. I never thought of Sam watching the event take place. And this is cool:

“But it’s what we’ve got for now. We agreed. There would be rooms, and then, occasionally, there would be Sam and Jack conversations that would stay in the rooms. On special occasions.”

It never occurred to me that it would be a room they'd revisit.

Also, despite the fact that it's a cringe-worthy thought, I'm glad you included this:

But then, he realised, this was Doctor-Major-Reproductive-Organs-On-The-Inside-Sam-Carter.

Personally, I think it's a mistake to reedit movies. Or shows, as the case may be. Especially when it ruins continuity in future episodes.

lol i've always had a soft spot for that speech - i know it's silly and over the top and yeah, definitely cringe-worthy but *shrug* i've always ... had a soft spot for it :p

i've always imagined that they couldn't just leave it in the room (maybe it's just my inner romantic) but *shrug* i love the idea that they might refer to it - especially after some of the later stuff that happens, beneath the surface, entity, grace that sort of thing :P

It is always a joy (and rare)when the sequel is even better than the original. Obviously they need to take over all the rooms on Earth, room by room by room. I never saw this as a conversation that could take place without either one of them being OOC, but you have pulled it off.

Your sarcasm notwithstanding, I think the title is very appropriate. Maybe you are standing so close it just looks obvious?
