So as I'm trying to be more involved in fandom, it would be great if I had beta readers! I'ma set up a filter for people who would like to beta works for me so that I don't spam everyone with the unfinished; the finished will be available to everyone

I've never beta'd before... but I'd love to read your Myst stuff as you work on it (though I'm pretty rusty on book-canon right now).

Beta-ing is easy. :) If you were doing it for a canon you weren't familiar with I'd ask you to just look at stuff like "any huge typos?" "words that stick out?" y'know, basic spelling/grammar stuff. Since you know the fandom, it's a bit more involved; look for major canon errors (unless it's an AU), any off characterizations, plot holes, etc.
