I like your recap way better than mine though. After watching the video you linked I gave some thought to what it was like in the early 70's. Granted it was much simpler, but really if I could whip some guy's butt at Tank or even Duck Hunt they made me feel like typhoid Mary. It just wasn't accepted at all. So I left those "childish" things behind for the more historically traditional things like marriage and childbirth.
What I'm trying to say is even with all the angst still associated with the female geek, women have come a long way. It's just a shame that as with the feminist movement, we women didn't recognize it sooner in order to make it easier for our little sisters today.
