A Day Well Spent?

Jan 10, 2010 06:07

So I was going to catch up on my friends entries today (well, yesterday, technically) in between getting my morning stuff done and hanging out with a friend later in the evening. I had at least a couple hours to do so, but then I thought it would be a good idea to reorganize my CD collection instead since I had run out of room on the shelving units ( Read more... )

Thanks!
Yep, there are certain ones I haven't listened to in a few years, but I have listened to them all and do still listen to most of them. Luckily, I have a job where I can listen to music all day. =)

*nostalgically listening to Ours's great song "Sometimes" while reading this entry of yours about organization*

Daaaaam. It still amazes me that you have 2000+ CDs. It's strange to think that 100 years from now the kids in the future will say, "CDs? Those are so ancient relics!" Too bad you and I will cease to exist 100 years from now.

EDIT: I hope your sleeping pattern goes better this year.

Hey! Long time no see!

Yeah, I fear the day CD's are discontinued as a music format. I don't like to think about that. : /

Thanks!

wow, that sounds like a big job! good for you for getting it done though. i'm really OCD about arranging and organizing things as well. i arrange my cds alphabetically by artist, and then if i have more than one cd by an artist, i arrange them chronologically. i don't have nearly as many as you though!

Yeah, once I start something I hate stopping before I finish. I had my CD's organized the same way you do up until I hit about the 200 mark. Now, I have them in different categories -- hard rock and metal, 80s rock & hair metal, R&B, pop, west coast rap/hip-hop, east coast rap/hip-hop, old school rap/hip-hop, alternative rock, 90s alternative and grunge, compilations, the elite (my favorite artists overall)...and then I have the same artists CD's together in chronological order within the categories.

Sweet Jesus. What a time you must have had. D: Glad it's over and done with, though!

Oh, and this was posted in a community I watch, and I thought that you might appreciate it. Go look at some freaky art here.
