One of my best friends just emailed me at work asking if I'd heard the news -- Avenged Sevenfold's drummer, The Rev, is dead at age 28. He was found yesterday and so far appears to have died of natural causes, according to this article: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/ ( Read more... )

28? That's so sad! I totally hate Critical Acclaim, but I like some A7F songs...

Yeah, absolutely love City of Evil, in which they get a lot more melodic and have some beautiful songs (like Seize the Day) and I ended up liking them more after seeing a couple DVD's and getting a better grasp on what they're actually like.

I try to do keep the mindset that it's just another person when a celebrity dies, but it's hard when it's one you really like.

I saw about it this morning with having a ton of artists saying about it on twitter and facebook.
I have only gotten into A7X recently but enjoy their stuff so it is sad.
Its crazy the amount of people dying young.

It is crazy, although it seems like a pretty typical age at which artists who die young pass away.
