This video for Failure's song "Stuck on You" seems like a vague memory in my past.

The only song by Paramore I've heard is the Vitamin String Quartet's cover of the Paramore song "CrushCrushCrush." I like cover. It just occurred to me that I've never heard the original version of "CrushCrushCrush." Do you know if you have any Paramore fans on your f-list? I hope you didn't make anybody mad on your f-list.

I don't even dislike Paramore. I actually dig a couple of the songs I've heard from them and I thought they put on a good show when I saw them open for No Doubt a couple months ago. I know there are at least a couple of Paramore fans among my LJ friends and I tried to word the entry in a way that wouldn't offend, but I might not have done the best job at that. The way I see it, I know I like some God-awful music which I take shit for all the time and make fun of myself for, plus I believe very strongly in the "to each their own" expression, so I never think that I'm above someone else or anything, but I still might talk crap now and then.

For instance, I've always loved Air Supply ever since I was a little kid. Have their greatest hits CD and still break it out now and then and everything. I own Mark Anthony's "I Need To Know" CD single, Ricky Martin's full album with "Livin' La Vida Loca" and everything on it (although I bought it for "Cup of Life", which was used for the soccer World Cup), I've always had a soft spot for The Backstreet Boys and even a liked N*SYNC's "Bye Bye Bye" for some reason when it came out...I own Shania Twain and Leann Rhymes CD's...really, I could go on and one. Let me leave it by saying I own these two cassette singles from back in the day...

When I first read the post's title all I thought was "Paramore's song"!
I didn't know it was a cover, which kinda makes me happy now, coz I was never THAT big on the song.

Just playin'. I have absolutely nothing against Paramore or Paramore fans -- this is just a whiney entry about something that happens when you start getting old. : /
