I love the contrast between musician Queen Latifah and actress Queen Latifah. She's talented in both aspects, but I prefer her music over her movies.

i can't stand rap 'music', but i think Queen Latifah is the antz pantz for some off reason

I think Ice T has had one of the biggest transitions from music to films - from his song "Cop Killer" to playing a cop on two different TV shows (Law & Order and the Special Victims spin-off)

I thought of him, too, but decided not to include him since he doesn't have any songs that are known for being big "summer jams" and he's not quite become a movie star yet, but more of a TV star.
