MTV is no longer a moniker, at least in the logo. I used to be one who bitched about how "Music Television" was no longer music television, but it was obvious years ago that you can't blame them when the masses have spoken and ratings provide more than enough proof that it's the right move for business

Haha that's exactly what I was thinking -- listen to the radio this week like I have, pick up the albums I really want and explore the other songs by those artists and whatever other genres I end up getting stuck on, and coming back to see what's new in a couple months. It is a shame that they keep the core playlist so small and only play those songs over and over. It makes me think of a pretty awesome independent documentary on the state of the music industry from a few years ago: Before The Music Dies. Familiar? Take a look at the trailer if not. It really is great stuff and there's a lot of good unknown music featured within.
