Dear sweet Justin. I'll miss that boy terribly. My only tiny consolation on his behalf is that he's going home to Ohio. And maybe, some day, he'll come back.

i'm sure my own eyes-down forge-ahead perspective on what to do with trade-deadline day is what made masterson's leaving such a blindside gut-punch (oops). still - i don't think warning would've made it hurt less.

being overseas right now, I completely missed all the talk and speculation leading up to the deadline this year. so the sudden news about masterson was definitely a shock. I'm not going to lie, this made me cry. what a beautiful picture.
