Who am I, anyway?

Okay, okay....I suppose I need to make some kind of entry post.  My original plan was to simply use this as a reading journal and subscribe only to communities, but as I dig deeper into the fandom I suspect that I may wind up friending individuals as well.  If I do, I guess that a little reassurance that I'm not a bot or some kind of crazed stalker ( Read more... )

Thanks for leaving this post - you're right, the first thing I did when I got the message that you'd friended me was to come here and check you out to see if you were 'legit'! (Aside: I usually PM people or reply to one of their posts and request permission to friend them. I don't know if that's "official" LJ etiquette, but it's what most of my cronies do. You might find a few people don't appreciate being friended without warning by someone they don't know - but I'm cool, so don't worry).

You're right, the fandom is HUGE. On Fanfiction.net there are actually more NCIS stories than Star Trek! It's amazing.

I hope you enjoy my stories. Drop me a line and let me know what you think - like you say, it's always sweet to get a new review on an older piece!

Yeah, I always check out an unfamiliar name as well, so I thought this post might come in handy.

There's no need to friend me back, though, as I doubt I'll be actually posting anything on the journal itself. At this point, at least, I have no plans to start writing in this fandom.

I've been on lj for a number of years in my other incarnation and haven't encountered that, but it must be one of the benefits of a smaller fandom. Thanks! I'll be sure to do so in the future ( ... )

Oh, thank you! I'm glad you shared the background that prompted your project: I'll appreciate your work all the more for knowing it.

And I can surely agree with you: a great beta-reader who keeps you honest is beyond price.
