Okay, okay....I suppose I need to make some kind of entry post. My original plan was to simply use this as a reading journal and subscribe only to communities, but as I dig deeper into the fandom I suspect that I may wind up friending individuals as well. If I do, I guess that a little reassurance that I'm not a bot or some kind of crazed stalker

You're right, the fandom is HUGE. On Fanfiction.net there are actually more NCIS stories than Star Trek! It's amazing.

There's no need to friend me back, though, as I doubt I'll be actually posting anything on the journal itself. At this point, at least, I have no plans to start writing in this fandom.
(Aside: I usually PM people or reply to one of their posts and request permission to friend them. I don't know if that's "official" LJ etiquette, but it's what most of my cronies do. You might find a few people don't appreciate being friended without warning by someone they don't know - but I'm cool, so don't worry).Glad you clued me in to this.
