The wetdry vac thing went well. We sucked up 16 gallons of water that had soaked into the carpet. Nice sponge! And it was a lot of work

That's the river for you. I think it's really carved a valley out of Red Deer over the millions of years. Or maybe just thousands. Eitherway, it's great parkland!
To me it looks like a combination of southeast washington (very green, rolling prairie land) and the central section of Washington, volcanic lava, with lots of erosion, but it's not green, it's brown with lots of sagebrush.

Course even a moose carcass shelter on that land would be a castle.
