We never got around to discussing dreads.... I want real ones, so probably I should make a head band or something and wear it around until I get over it.... Your pieces are amazing...

I think I've got it, I read a couple of tutorials - but what I'm making are sort of wild looking... Maybe over-dreading... But I didn't get that smooth silky hair either... When I finish the head piece I'll take pics... I still like them, but they're kinda lumpy and crispy. I like them a lot more than the dread wig I had for the Tia Dalma costume - those were way too uniform, not really dreaded at all... I made the dreads for my Jack Sparrow outfit, but did that just back combing and twisting and then using my hads to mat them more.... I had no idea a hairdryer would semi-melt them together. So that's an improvement in the technique and isn't removing the skin from my fingers...
