After missing Ben in the gym--Anakin'd received an apologetic message a few minutes after he'd started walking to his office, something about oversleeping--Anakin had sat down in his chair.

...and promptly fallen asleep again.

The door was open, though.

When Raven arrived at Anakin's office and found him asleep, she naturally became concerned, wondering if whatever was happening to her and Dinah had struck him as well. She hesitated a moment, then reached out to see if she could sense his feelings, if his sleep was peaceful or troubled.

His walls, even asleep, were incredibly high, but grief and guilt were leaking through just before he opened his eyes.

"Again?" he said, rubbing his eyes. "I swear I don't sleep like this."

Her own troubles were forgotten and replaced by concern for another. "Something is troubling you," Raven said. "You were feeling sadness and guilt."

[sith_happened]

"Strange dream about losing a friend," Anakin said. "But things were wrong. It felt real, but it can't be real. He lives in LA now."

[trigons_child]

"It may be that you are experiencing what Dinah and myself did yesterday," Raven said. "We both fell into slumbers against our wills, and dreamed of this place, only so terribly wrong." And it wasn't just the place that was wrong, the people were, too.

[sith_happened]

Anakin nodded. "An island full of monsters and despair?"

[trigons_child]

"Yes," Raven said. "And people who were not themselves. They wore the faces of friends, and knew what they knew, but they were vicious and hungry."

[sith_happened]

Anakin nodded again. "Vampires. At least in my nightmares. Full of people I haven't thought about in years."

[trigons_child]

"What is happening?" Raven said. "How are we sharing the same dreams? Liir and I had the exact same dream, but from different points of view. We fought each other and used our gifts in ways that we should not have."

[sith_happened]

"I don't know," Anakin admitted. "There was a time, long ago, when a curse on the island gave us horrible nightmares, but they were never shared by another person. I felt something...wrong...a few nights back. Maybe this is connected to it."

[trigons_child]

"Did you feel both hope and desperation?" Raven said. "It had a familiarity to it, as if I knew who was feeling it, but not quite."

[sith_happened]

He nodded again. "Like I should have recognized them, but didn't. I have a bad feeling about this."

[trigons_child]

"As do I," Raven said. "But what does it all mean? What are these visions trying to tell us? Some sort of warning of what could be?"

[sith_happened]

"There used to be vampires on the island, back when I was a student," Anakin said, "but it was never as...dire...as what my nightmares are showing me."

[trigons_child]

"Liir was one of them," Raven said. "And Tahiri, though I could somehow sense she was something more than just a vampire."

[sith_happened]

Anakin's heart stopped for a second. "You've seen Tahiri?"
