"Sometimes, diplomacy breaks down," Obi-Wan began.

Anakin nodded. "It could be a highly fraught relationship to begin with, or a new player on the scene who has no idea what he's doing, or someone had a bad day and a Twitter account..."

"And sometimes it's simply... ah, cultural differences," Obi-Wan said wryly. "Whatever the case, sometimes an insult is made, and everyone has to deal with it. How?"

"Aggressive negotiations?" Anakin offered helpfully. Ahsoka, at least, would be unsurprised to hear that.

"Or you could attempt to talk to the other party, sort it out," Obi-Wan said, rolling his eyes. "Or simply ignore it."

"But where's the fun in that?" Anakin replied, grinning. "It's so much more interesting to make people have to leave the embassies and ban their diplomats."

"But it hardly solves any problems," Obi-Wan said dryly. "As it stands, I believe our students should work this out, not us."

"Fine," Anakin said. "Let's cast it in terms easier to deal with at a school. You return to your room to discover your roommate has changed the locks, moved your stuff to the hallway and has installed a new roommate in your place. What do you do?"
