Obito is lovely, I lovers him.
He represents the FUN Uchiha...instead of the "I have an ass stuck so far up my ass and it can never be removed until I kill everyone" attitude.

You're very welcome! I agree, Obito is awesome. He's so real, compared to all the characters who never cry or show emotion. And unlike Itachi (and possibly Sasuke, considering the current manga storyline) would ever do, he gave his life to save his friend's. That, IMO, is the bravest thing anyone could ever do.
I cried at the end of Gaiden. I really did.

Plus, I just read your Iruka essay. You are SO right. Iruka is on the same level of un-love as Obito. It's because of the so called "average joes" like them that we have Kakashi and Naruto. If it weren't for Iruka, Naruto might have actually been "Sasuke".
Though, I personally think it's the anime's fault for Iruka's un-love. In the manga, he was introduced in a very different way than the anime. The anime made him have a funny face and a funny voice when you first met him. I think that gave him vibes of "goofy secondary character".
