Welcome to my part of the country. Be sure to pay the Cealdrach tax when you enter and leave.

I'm a bit disappointed I've never heard of this crater. Oh well, most Californians (choose to believe they...) have never heard of Arizona.

Enjoy your trip.

You probably have heard of the crater, it's the oldest recognized/studied and best preserved meteorite crater in the world, you just, like me, didn't know the name or location until now. It's definitely on the Discovery Channel a lot.

But so yeah, next time I'm out there I think we're going to try and plan better and go to San Diego and Los Angeles and places like that; we should go out drinking!

Thanks for putting this up. It sounds like you had a great time. Your Dad does sound cool.

I bet he thinks you're pretty cool too.

Yeah, we're awesome. We provide the amusement for my stepmom the whole time I'm there.

Yer buttcheek's hanging out! h0pe33 July 13 2006, 04:47:53 UTC
AWESOME pics! I heard they moved to Yuma and have been wondering how the hell they both are...these pics are awesome. I especially love the comment

Sadly, it did not destroy this lady, who was walking around with her gut flopping over her pants the whole time we were outside.

That was too funny for some reason, I'm still laughing! Your dad is cool (and so is Rhonda!) The cow looks fierce, and damn that is a really big area that was hit--i'd totall wanna see that someday, damn you! I'm jealous you saw some very cool things!!!

I hope they are doing well--what happened to robin? he stayed in ohio with his wifey? I haven't talked to jeff in a few months--i know he's in nj now. But it looks like you had a great time out there..i hope you got some new jeans tho! :)

Thanks y'all! The crater was definitely very cool, the meteorite that hit to make it was probably only a couple meters wide tops though; it hit the earth at 11 miles per second with the force of several atomic bombs (minus the radiation of course).

The cow was fiercely grazing in front of the gas station. It was awesome.

Yes Robin is in Ohio with the wife, er, was when I was there. He left for Navy Basic Training on the seventh. I don't get it though, cus like, he's my little brother, he's totally not old enough to go into the Navy. I mean, I was still changing diapers until a couple weeks ago for chrissake...

The Jeans. It took me so long to find jeans I actually like, that didn't look like they were beaten with a stick or rubbed in a pile of dirt before they hit the rack. But don't trust the size chart on the website, according to them I'm a size 1 or some crap. Which is funny since my size 7s are still a little tight on me til I work this fat from the semester off. Lying liars.

Those jeans rock btw..and size 7?!? You look like a size 1 in those pics..maybe a size 2..but not a 7!! (this of course based my photo knowledge of you)

And wow, i can't believe Robin is in the Navy..good for him. I never would've figured him to go there. Wasn't he always, um...kinda lazy? :) J/k..he's a good kid, and smart so he'll be fine. That's also good expericence ya know?

Yeah, it's cus I've got "childbearing hips." Or so they tell me. That's why it's so hard to find jeans that fit, cus I've got no butt and skinny legs to go along with them. True story.

But yeah, Robin in the Navy. He supposedly always liked/looked up to responsible uniformed type jobs, and he wants to be a good provider, and since he's not going to college at the moment, it's a good option. He's going to be learning how to make and operate the missiles. Like, what the hell, you pick something nice and safe like a massive aircraft carrier, then you go put yourself in the weapons bay anyway. What thte hell.

Wow, my journal entry tops your entire trip? I must rule ;) Where did you go in Mexico? It was defintely better than Los Algodones...looking at the tag of my new jeans by the way, the spanish translation of the tag lists "97% cotton" as "97% algodon," so I went to "The Cottons, Mexico."

Anyway....

Yeah, American Gods is great, you better finish it. Anansi Boys, also great, and a bit of a quicker read.

My dad has always worn his socks like that, he was mad cus he got his sneakers soaked while cleaning the pool and had to wear the brown shoes.

Oh, and I forgot, Rhonda was asking about you while I was there, since I told her we talk on LJ. So she says hi and wishes you well and all that good stuff.

Awww, I miss her!!! I randomly think of her and just feel like calling her out of the blue..then I realize i haven't talked to her since after Jeff & I broke up..so it might kinda weird. She was still nice to me afterwards, plus, Jeff is extremely happy w/ his new girl so everything is A-OK :) Hey, she's not working out there in another store is she?

And yeah, soon enough (when I have time) i'll post my pics up from vacation..that is, if Howie doesn't beat me to it. He prolly will anyways.

Well I thoroughly enjoyed this entry Chloe, it was a most excellent tour of Arizona!

Thanks for thinking of me and my little world! They have that bag at Marshall's, they're $15. I would have gotten one, but they are so damn huge!

Yeah, I was tempted to get one too, but I can't handle owning more than one purse at a time for some reason. They had a much smaller one at Anchor Blue; maybe there's a website?
