Wonderful, not the best way to meet the in law, half dressed in the middle of the night, giggled at the last line - there of cource be more .... Please, need to find out how Jack proposes

Thank you :) Yes, I'm planning on there being more - one to fix CoE in this 'verse and one for the proposal... which may end up being in the same fic, it depends on how things go :)

I think the point of the Master Tailor arriving in the middle of the night was so that Jack was caught off-guard - and half-naked!!

can never go by a half naked Jack, unless he is totally naked and with a half or fully naked Ianto as well - have a great holiday - looking forward to more of this 'verse

And I like your explanation of how they see Jack. That was really brilliant, and makes so much more sense than what the Doctor claimed.

I vaguely remember hearing something on a Dr Who episode (possibly season 4 with Donna) about how a Time Lord views sentient beings and their timelines (either that, or I'm making it up in my head) and decided to use that to explain Ianto's and his father's ability to see Jack.

The Doctor is really an idiot sometimes...
