In-Game Character Information
Name: Shalice Tilman-Sinclair
Series: City of Heroes
Age: 25
Personality: Shalice is a snarky, sassy, sarcastic woman. She sometimes comes across as slightly schizophrenic, but that's just the ancestors in her head. While kind to her friends, in a gentle, good-natured ribbing sort of way, Shalice will come roaring to the defense of anyone being picked on, regardless of age or House. She is quick to anger and easily annoyed, but once she calms down she is able to view situations objectively and swallow her pride and apologize if she feels it necessary.
Background: The Sinclairs were an old pure-blood family of wizards extremely skilled in magic arts involving prophecy and the mind. Those with Sinclair blood are often talented Occlumens, Legilimens, Seers and Diviners. The eldest Sinclair child of each generation is always particularly gifted at these things, having inherited the memories of their ancestors, due to a spell one of them created several generations ago, so that his consciousness could continue on after he had passed. Due to a tiny flaw in the spell, his consciousness merged with the mind he was reborn into, so the spell picks up a new mind each generation, rather than just his moving on. Shalice is the daughter of a muggle father, Joseph Tilman, and a pure-blood mother, Rosalie Sinclair.
As the eldest Sinclair of the current generation, she carries the memories of thirteen of her ancestors. At any given moment, they can pop into her consciousness and annoy her. When Shalice was young, she had a difficult time adjusting to all the voices in her head, which made her a moody, sullen child, prone to temper tantrums and sulking. As she got older and learned, through Occlumency and Legilimency, to control and quiet her ancestors, Shalice grew into a recklessly brave and passionate young woman. At Hogwarts, she made friends easily, but her sharp tongue and quick temper earned her plenty of enemies as well. She found Divination classes to be horribly disappointing, and doubted the professor had experienced more than one vision in her whole life. Because of her unhappiness with Divination, Shalice threw herself into other subjects, finding that Occlumency came in very useful in Defense Against the Dark Arts. She created several new spells, mostly mental shields designed to also repel physical and magical attacks.
When she graduated from school, she was approached by the Ministry and recruited as an Auror due to her unique talents. Prior to going on a mission, Shalice had a vision of the mission going badly, and herself being terribly injured while she defended her team and got them to safety. Instead of working to change the vision, she sacrificed herself at great personal risk, to make sure everyone else was saved. After spending several weeks at St. Mungo's, Shalice took the newly-open position of Divination at Hogwarts.
Blood:Half (muggle father, pureblood mother)
Preferred House: Gryffindor
Why you think they belong in this house? Shalice is a spitfire, brave, loyal, and hotheaded. She sacrificed herself for her teammates because she thought it was the right, honorable thing to do. I can't think of a better house for her.
Staff Position: Divination professor
Why you think they fit this position? Being the eldest child of the Sinclair generation, Shalice is gifted at all aspects of mental magics, and her Auror training makes her skilled enough to teach these at Hogwarts.
If Professor would you want them to be Head of House? Sure

Yup, Hogwarts is pretty much exactly how I remember it; insane. What on earth possessed me to think taking this job would help me relax and speed up my recovery? If one of you grumpy old bastards in my head planted that idea in there, I will mentally kick your ass so hard you won't be reincarnated with the next Sinclair kid!
As weird as it is to be back here though, it's also kind of nice. It's good to see Rangiku again, even though she's still calling me by that ridiculous nickname. She's informed me that I've got my work cut out for me trying to make Divination a serious subject again, but I think I'm up to the challenge. I am Sister Psyche, after all.

Shalice stood in front of her very first Divination class and sighed. From the looks of it, the only students who'd decided to take the subject were ones who thought it would be an easy O, or wide-eyed giggling girls who had no idea what Divination was actually about. Apparently Hogwarts still didn't take her field of expertise seriously. "You!" she snapped, pointing at a goofy looking Hufflepuff kid, "Why did you decide to take this class?"
"Uh, well, um..." he stammered, "I thought it looked... interesting?"
"Right," Shalice said, arching an eyebrow. "I'm sure it had nothing to do with the fact you heard your professor was going to be an attractive redhead?"
The Hufflepuff gulped, the color draining from his face.
Shalice stalked around the room, looking each student in the eye as she passed. "I am a Seer. I am a Diviner. I am also an Occlumens, and a Legilimens. If you lie to me, I will know it. Do not think you will pass this class by faking messages from tea leaves and crystal balls. You may have signed up looking for an easy class, something you could be assured you'd get an O in to make your parents proud." She took a breath, annoyed that she even had to say these things. "If you are one of those people, this is not the class you want to be in. You may leave now."
Shalice sighed as three-quarters of the class got up and left. It was going to be a long day. She didn't need visions to tell her that.
