Kissing and sailing!

Hey! So the amazing pts had an idea a while back. The idea was:

It occurred to us one bourbon-seasoned afternoon in March that Kissing and Adventure make really excellent partners-you know, in stories. And we thought to ourselves how grand it would be to assemble an anthology of fiction dedicated to making that case.
And lo, this idea became a reality ( Read more... )

OK, I had to read more about Orpah and Girt, and went and got the Kindle version.

I assumed you were planning to dissect me at some point. Who wouldn’t want a closer look at this body?” -- just . . . wonderfully Wrong, yay! :)

It's been way too long -- how are you?

Hurray for biologist humor! I'm so glad you liked it--and so flattered you have it on a Kindle!

It has totally been too long. I've been good--wrote a paper on The Hunger Games for the Sirens Conference this year, had a story in this thing, did some kids biographies and now I'm struggling to get people into bed for Yuletide.

How are you? What have you been up to???

Sounds like some fun and adventurous projects! What did you end up writing about Hunger Games? I remember your posts about the book and about Peeta. I confess I still haven't gotten through Catching Fire, though I read a chunk more after you encouraged me to get past the love triangle. :)

As for me, I am just working working and randomly reading -- dull and reasonably content, which I confess is a combination to be wary of :)

Mockingjay is definitely the worst of the trilogy, imo. It's weird that I wind up talking about it so much since it didn't excite me that much! The theme of the conference this year was "tales retold" so I wrote about...basically the different forms of communication in the books. There's words that the Capitol mostly controls, and then this communication with signs and gifts and things, and then stories. I did have some funny quotes about the love triangle that came up, basically how everyone hated it.

That poem will definitely be a warning to me!
