As a general rule, most LARPS are fail. I was in 1 LARP years ago and I still think of ways it could have been better. Role Playing is collaborative story telling spiced with impromptu acting that is in it's most basic form two hours of work for 30 minutes of fun.
Now, a little about my background, my Grandmother demanded I follow in the family's 'tradition' of taking Opera when I was a child. I lasted 6 years... from the time I was 6 till age 12. It is easier to put on a full production than it is a LARP. Stage shows take months if not years to fully perfect.
Most LARP Players think "oh sure, get a costume together and we can do this." No. It's not that easy or else every Gamer, ever, would have a multi-million dollar contract in Hollywood.
