Bedtime Stories for Monsters - The Residents Show

Sounds fantastic. Back when I was a student I had a flyer from one of their albums on my wall - a picture of them in their newspaper helmets taken from below and the slogan "Ignorance of your culture is not considered cool!" It kept my spirits up in some dark times, surrounded by fuckwits. The music terrified me though.

Wow, what a great show that must have been! I really enjoyed reading this.

When I think of The Residents, I, like everyone else I'm sure, picture them in the black suites with giant eyeballs for heads. Because I haven't kept up with them since about the time you did, it didn't occur to me that they had other "costumes" for different effects.

The films likely would have given this grown woman nightmares!! *shudder* Much like Skinny Puppy's concert films, they were probably included to invoke a horror/fascination response, and it sounded like they succeeded.

"black suites"?? I should have read that more carefully before hitting "post comment.

Oh, yeah, the "current me" would have been bloody miserable, but "old me" would have loved it.

I don't know if they are for sure, but a lot of Subgenii like *them*. I have a friend who knew NOTHING of them but after reading what I wrote about it was rather sad he didn't go. Thought he'd have enjoyed it. Sad. I think many would have, who never even had a clue. I don't know if anyone thought it bad. Seemed a very good reception.
