So glad for the dog but sad for the owner who has lost hers. I hope lost doggie gets reunited with its owners soon. I'm so glad that Bonnie is micro-chipped, this sort of thing makes me worried; she also has both mine and Paul's phone numbers on her tag in case she goes missing when she's staying in Cheshire (she's been missing overnight in Delamere forest before now).

The dog was a very long way out when I saw it. I was mainly concerned because of the state of the weather down here today, and the likelyhood of it getting stuck out in the mud. It was probably having a whale of a time to start with.. when I saw it, it was chasing up the migratry birds on the pools.. but when they found it, it was shivering and covered in mud, poor bugger. At least it didn't get stuck and didn't injure itself.

There's been a lot of fences/gates blown open/over today out here, so I'm not surprised they've got free. It was a springer spaniel apparently in the end, so hopefully it's registered and/or microchipped somewhere. I did really feel for the woman who thought she may have a lead (groan!) to where her dog was, but yeah, at least this one is safe.
