Yes, the second Dark Ages that took place after the Armageddon. There was a war between the hostile Returners, colonists from Mars whose organisms were affected by the life in that planet, that the survivors mistook by "vampires" and the "Terrans" aided by the Returners who saw the actions of their comrades as inhuman. I led one side of the conflict and this is why I was given sainthood by my Vatican allies.
