It didn't come off as sappy to me- it came off as comfortable, and like there were definately emotional currents below what they were actively or openly acknowlaging, but not even particularly emotional, much less sappy. IMHO.

Also? The bit at the beginning about being RIGHT THERE, but not quite with what you need to solve a problem? Love. There needs to be more turk! mission! fic.
