...damn, I wish I were writing for Yuletide this year.

Regarding the Westing Game, I've always thought that Judge Ford's relationship with Sam Westing might be rather closer than we've been told. There's a line about how she's got lighter skin than the Theodorakis family. Josie-Jo grew up in Westing's household, after all, and Westing paid for her education. Could Josie-Jo Ford be Sam Westing's illegitimate daughter?

One of the things I'm looking forward to this year is the ability to use the Dear Yuletide Author roundup post to write treats for people. I'm going to cherrypick medieval fandoms and write stuff for them, if I have time. Because as much as I hope to get a Marie de France story, I'd also love to write one.

(Yonec has been one of my favorites forever. Someday I'll write the story about young Yonec growing up and finding out that he's not quite human.)

Re: The Westing Game. Wow, that's a really interesting idea, and one I hadn't thought of myself.

o_o...The...The Westing Game. It's one of my favorite books ever. EVER. I read it when I was in 3rd grade. I fell in love with it and saved up my allowance to buy it. ($5 was a big deal back in the day. Remember? :D) I had to buy it again a couple of years ago because the copy I had was lost. And now I have to buy it again because I just cleaned up my room and I know I threw it away by accident - along with like 5 other favorite childhood books.
