I'm feeling a bit of get-back-on-the-horse-that-threw-you nervousness about posting this (it's probably no surprise to people on my flist that I've been having writing troubles lately), but... well, I just have to get back on that horse. And how better than with an Elena/Tseng fic, complete with smut

I associate luxury with Turks, too, so it doesn't sound silly to me! And particularly with Tseng, who I think of as being very classy, in a cold-hearted killer kind of way. ;)

Oooh, I have been hoping for more Turks works from you for a while now, and this did wonders to ease the cravings. I really love Elena the way you write her, and your general style. Your writing has a really distinct flair to it.

One minor correction: you need closing quotes after the line "I'm not good at waiting. But I'm good at this."

I seldom read het fanfiction for FFVII because I like so few of the het pairings. But this? Was perfect. The sensuality is lovely, and your writing is the perfect balance of desperation and conflict that is needed for any kind of romance/sexual relationship written about the Turks. Elena's voice is awesome here, and I love all your words for Tseng - beautiful description. I especially love the phrase 'startled epiphany'. Your dialogue is wonderful, too.

But the best part for me would be the end - so sweet, and I love the part about 'echoes of light of her skin'. Very poetic.

Tseng and Elena are high on my list of favorite het pairings (possibly they're my favorite het pairing, they're certainly the one I've written the most), and I'm really glad this one worked for you. I'm particularly glad you enjoyed the writing; it's been a while since I wrote anything of this length, and I was feeling a little nervous about it.
