Fic: see the bird with the leaf in her mouth (Ed/Roy, not worksafe)

Mar 28, 2008 03:17

This requires a little explaining.

See, I wasn't planning on writing this pairing. For one thing, it'd already been written in every possible permutation before I'd even heard of the fandom, and that makes me twitchy (which is why it took me forever to write Axel/Roxas, incidentally). And the pairing type isn't really my kind of pairing type ( Read more... )

length: fic, character: roy mustang, [fic], fandom: fullmetal alchemist, rating: not worksafe, genre: m/m, character: alphonse elric, pairing: edward elric/roy mustang, character: edward elric

This is beautiful...

It reminds me of something I once read. Not a rip off, but both had the idea of sex alchemy and put it to very good use...

The other gal was a coyote something, too.. And I originally thought you were her.. :P

Either way, this is seriously awesome!!!

Definitely going into my faves!

Thank you!

That sounds like Sleeps With Coyotes, ciceqi, and I'm incredibly flattered to be confused with her. ;) I know of her from FF7 fandom, but it wouldn't surprise me one bit if she'd written alchemy-heavy Ed/Roy.

I'm delighted you liked it!

I think this is only the second time I've seen sex alchemy

The first was:
Sleeps With Coyotes - Altered States series
here
it's about mid-page

Yours is equally compelling and of course hot.
This shall go in my memes as well.

Joining my voice in with all the others. This really was brilliant! There is nothing more erotic than sharing an intellectual passion with someone, as far as I'm concerned. So in this story, the outcome was not just inevitable, but a really glorious flowering.

I'd actually love to see if you could write a story about when they finally do the Sacred Union, and what results it produces. I'm not sure the world could handle it. I'm not even sure they could survive it. But it would be a marvelous story, I think.

Anyway. Beautifully done! I loved the gradual progress.

Thank you! Intellectualism and academia and a passionate search for knowledge push my buttons so hard....

You know, I've been thinking of that -- it would really not surprise me much to do a sequel, though I'd have to figure out what results the Sacred Union would produce. Whatever they were, I'm sure they'd be... epic.

I'm really glad you liked this.

This was... "amazing" seems much to small a word. Possibly more in the ballpark of "best fic I've ever read". I don't normally comment, but this was so absolutely breathtaking, I couldn't let it pass.

The characters are perfect and the alchemical information adds an entirely unique depth to the story. And, y'know, hot mansex. ^_^

Excellent job, and thank you. Not just "thanks for sharing", but thank you for bringing this story into existence.

Oh wow. Thank you so much, that's a tremendous compliment!

I'm really glad the characterization came out all right -- and that my self-indulgent wandering into alchemy stuff was actually interesting to people!

I began reading this before I had to leave for work this morning, and all day I was eager to get home and finish it. It was certainly well worth the wait. The characterizations were perfect imo, and the slow build up was amazing to watch. A true pleasure to read this, and I'll add my hopes that you'll follow this up with another fic for when they attempt the Sacred Union.

Thank you!

I'd love to do another piece on the Sacred Union, although first I have to figure out what would result from it... :D

At any rate, I'm really glad you liked it!
