A few posts back, lotusvine sent me an e-mail claiming she couldn’t get past my CAPTCHA (you know, that stupid thing where you type in some words to prove you’re not a spambot). Personally, I have no problems. I tested out the CAPTCHA software before I installed it and found it to be effective yet simple (and it’s used to improve OCR software, ( Read more... )

It took me a couple of refreshes before I found a series of letters I could confidently read. The font of your capcha is fuzzy and blurry making 'e', 'c' and 'o' had to distinguish when the wavy line cuts through the middle of it. What happened to those clearer 4 number or 4 random letter ones? Was that what you had before? or was that N's blog that I commented on previously?

My first comment went straight to moderation and the second one didn't happen at all. Does that mean I failed both times? or just the second time?

Some place I visit occasionally has the cutest cat font for it's code... but the numbers and letters are easily distinguished around the embelishment.

I guess I should decide whether I'm being too protective between a captcha, spam filter, and moderation.

I've had to refresh a couple of times to get one I could read, but it's the colour rather thant he distortion that's a problem.

There shouldn't be any colours (that I'm aware of).

The reason for the distortion is that one of the two words presented is from a scan of old book.
