Rivers of light

Whilst exploring my new hometown, it has been essential to take a light meter and a camera on my afternoon walks.

And I am starting to side with you: this scenery is to be made in black and white. This way we can view and enjoy the sun light against the shades.

In colour it would be a different story to tell.

But the black and white makes us think a bit deeper into the scene.

Focusing just on light itself, the photo takes on a new meaning.

Otherwise it would just be another landscape.

Absolutely.

Remarkably that sometimes people scrutinize and discuss photographs the way they discuss paintings in an art gallery.
