I haven't even read The Hunger Games yet, I own it and keep saying I am going to read it but haven't gotten around to it.

And I am so behind on Psych but Chi Mcbride! How exciting! Aw I miss Pushing Daisies.

If I hadn't just read Mockingjay, I'd say GO READ HUNGER GAMES NOW! But I was really disappointed with the last one, so take your time.

But they're really addicting, so don't start reading unless you have enough time to finish it. xD

Hahaha, I actually ran out of my room, said CONSTANT VIGILANCE!, got blank looks from my family and then went back to reading.

I was Team Katniss Ends Up Alone Cause That's The Type Of Person She Seems To Be. YESSSS. I actually really love Peeta and if I were Katniss (or, more accurately if Katniss were me), I'd pick Peeta in a heartbeat, but this is Twilight where the main character is just a blank slate on which to project yourself. I was never fully convinced of Katniss's feelings for either of the "love interests," so I honestly couldn't see myself being pleased with her "choice" either way ( ... )

AH YES I forgot about the sleep discussion thing. SO TWILIGHT. And it didn't even really add much of anything to the story. Like, at all. No, really WHY DID THAT LITTLE DISCUSSION TAKE PLACE?

I completely agree about the editor thing. It just doesn't feel right. =/

I totally see where you're coming from. I was a HUGE fan of the first one, the second one was great but it was really just the first one all over again, but what I loved about them was not that they were necessarily good. They're quick reads and very addicting and Collins knows how to write emotion, so it's easy to feel a connection to the characters, but when you take a step back, the concept is a lot better than the execution.

I was mostly excited for the third book because I thought/hoped it would bring together all that I loved about the first two and tie it all together so that the whole series would be worth the execution failure of the first two, and that's not really what happened, so I think now my opinion is lowered of the series as a whole. =/ *sigh*

I'm just desperate for the next Harry Potter and I need to accept that that will never happen.

Really? I've heard that the series isn't very good, and I've been hesitant about it anyway because of the drama with the author's fanfiction back in the day... I'll give it a shot, though.

YES YES AND YES.
Prim should not have died. It kind of defeats he whole purpose of the story. I feel like the meaning of everything that Katniss did is gone. =/
I think SC took the easy way out with the whole Peeta/Gale thing. It was like, "Oh I know that Gale is better suited for Katniss but it's kind of not what I planned so I'm going to make her associate him with her sister's unnecessary death."
It should have been four instead of three...it was WAY too rushed. I liked it okay, but it could have been MUCH better. Still held my breath the whole way through, though.
You're the first person I've discussed this with so forgive me for my ramblings. :P

I TOTALLY AGREE. Katniss was willing to sacrifice her own life to compete in the Hunger Games in Prim's place, and yet she dies anyway. Ridiculous.

And I really cannot stand this Gale copout ending. Worst ever.

CHI MCBRIDE ON PSYCH MADE ME SO HAPPY. I miss Pushing Daisies so very, very much. If only he had been knitting at some point!

It almost filled that Pushing Daisies-sized hole in my heart. Almost. It just wasn't quite the same. ;___;

I tend to use making every single person I know watch Daisies to try and fill that hole a little. It works fairly well, but I'm running out of people to share it with.
