French movies

Apr 24, 2006 02:58

Time to celebrate the end of my vacation. It was good, even if it was of course too short ;) I've been playing like crazy with Photoshop but my interest these days lies much with some French movies I've seen recently so I don't think many of you will be interested too. Anyway, here's a first post about two actors and three movies. ( Albert & Christopher )

albert dupontel, french actors, french movies, christopher thompson, wallpapers, a very long engagement

wow.

so i have absolutely no clue who these people are, or what these movies are, but i cannot deny the talent you possess in making walls! those are absolutely amazing siriala! i don't suppose you want to teach me photoshop. i just don't have the inclination to learn, and i really, REALLY need to! will you show me :P

perhaps making walls of ewan will be enough incentive for me, no?

but yeah, you make absolutely stunning walls, and these are no exception. great job!!!!!

And so I'll suggest to you too to read the explanations provided by the links I mention ;)

It's so very lovely and thoughtful of you to comment on these walls, particularly if you don't know what they are about. Thanks Lelia :D

Woosie darling ! You deserve the Curt icon ;D

As for who the people are and what the movies are about, just read my prose and click on the links I provided, and you will know ;) But it's great that you appreciate the walls even without knowing their subjects !

Of course I can help you with Photoshop, I just don't know how much help I can be, I'm far from being a pro and I'm still learning each time I create a new wall. But if you need any tips, particularly to begin as I know for a fact it seems a bit daunting at first, don't hesitate to ask, here or by email ;) And Ewan is certainly the best topic to practice :D

I'm still smiling from your compliments !

I have no idea what they are about but I LOVE how they look! :D

The last is my favorite followed very closely by the third and first ones! :D

Third time's the charm ? As I mentioned above, you just have to read what I wrote and to visit the links to know what the walls are about ;D Although I must admit that I enjoy being for once the one who knows and not the one who always asks "what are you all talking about ?!" ;)

I'm smugly happy with this last wall. I was so NOT happy with the Ewan walls I sent to Rose and you, I felt relieved to see I could do something this good (for my level). Glad to see the third one pleases you, I fell a bit out of love with it. And most of all, thanks for your nice words ;D

The last wall is particularly beautiful. Gorgeous symmetry in the colors and shadings, and I love the warm/cool [but not jarring - how'd you manage that?] contrast.

Thanks ! ;)

Jeunet is the magician here, I simply use his art. The movie is nothing short of stunning in that regard. Jeunet often uses an image inside another one to show for example a scene someone is talking about, or someone writing the letter someone else is reading. He doesn't do it in a Pillow Book way, with an image clearly defined. It's done on the contrary in a "wallpaper style", one image fades into the other.

Also I've always loved Jeunet's attention to details, like Albert Dupontel's stache : it's turned up when he's happy or relaxed, and down when he's in the trenches, at least on every caps I've checked ;)

*grins*

Well, for once on LJ I seem to be among the few who know what those movies and these people are.

I finally wandered here (after quite a long lj-break), and I am sorry I did not come earlier :)

Wow, I looove these walls. But, what an amount of work they must represent ! How many hours did you spend on them ? And how many pics did you use ?????

I love the textures. Really. they make your style very personal.

I confess, I did not see "Enfermés Dehors" *bows head in shame* But I like the wall anyway, so does that count ?

Shame on you !! ;D Well, you'll catch it once it's on TV, I hope. Liking the wall does count, at least for me ;)

I seem to do either very simple walls with only two pics, or very complex ones with too many pics to count on both hands. Time is not really a problem, I love to be able to create something that I love, or I'll get fed up very quickly and stop doing it.

And yes, it's nice to be the one in the know sometimes, isn't it ? ;D

Nice to see you again, I hope you're doing well ;)

Oh, I'm doing well, that's very sweet to ask !

Are you doing well ?

Oh, and I have a question... can I add you to my friends list ? So I don't miss any of your updates ? Can I can I can I ?

Well, since you asked so nicely... avec plaisir :D My next post is gonna be private anyway (because it's rated X) so it may be better. I'll add you back if you don't mind.

And I'm doing, that's all I can say. My bossWork is a bitch these days, but I have the end of the week off after tomorrow for the Ascension, so it should give me a bit of time to rest and meet friends. I'm looking forward to it ! ;)
