As far as I'm concerned, I wasn't busy enough, artwork speaking, but spent too much time at work and taking care of a lot of annoying things. And the wallpaper for ma vie en l'air is the only thing that was really time consuming, the others are simple and done quite quickly.

Hope you'll like the soundtrack ;) *hugs back*

Oh yes, that makes sense ! Thanks for the nice words ;)

40 ? That's a lot of days ! ;) I thought 16 was already terrible and quite enough. You must have been so totally wan and feeling like lying all the time. *hugs back*

So sorry to hear you're not feeling well. That sounds absolutely miserable. {{{HUGS}}}

I LOVE your fanart! I drew that same pic of Ewan a couple of years ago:

Thank you so much, for all your thoughts and nice words. It was more annoying and tiring than painful, so it's not that bad. I was feeling worse last evening actually but you know how it is to be a woman, lots of little miseries forgotten as soon as they're gone. *HUGS* ;)

I like your drawing. I think the top half of his face is very well done but there's something in the lower half that's not quite him, I've been trying to say what exactly since yesterday. But I love how you render lights and shadows, this is one of your many talents ;) (your Gerard Butler as Beowulf was quite frightening by the way ;D)

Forgot to say the other day that I'm still working on your very, very belated bday wall ;) I'm slow but I rarely forget when I promise something. It's just that what I've done till now with your Christian/Gerard wall was not good at all.

oh i LOVE her too!!!! she is so pretty and so feminine... like a fragile flower... i wonder if that film will come here... French ones sometimes do, i must look for it...

and i love the walls you have of her... very nice!

not sure i like the pencil drawing effect.... looks a bit too gritty i find... i have that option with my software, and everytime i try it, i revert back to the original!!

and lastly, but most importantly, i hope you are feeling better - you must be feeling anemic - that is such a long time to flow as it were...

Marion's one of the very few actresses that I really like enough to play with their pics. And the interviews from her that I've read showed that she seemed to be a really nice, "normal" girl. Here's hoping she stays that way ( ... )

oh i absolutely meant to view the film in French... i don't like translations!!!! hehe.... always prefer to see it in original format if i can, that way you get to hear the actor and not just some replacement voice...

for films to be shown here in Quebec, they must all be either in French or have a French version [translated]... very rare to find a movie that will only be shown in English... c'est la loi!!

usually only "art films" having an 'exclusive engagement' [only shown in one cinema] can get away with being English only... like Young Adam, it was only shown in one obscure cinema, downtown... where art films are usually shown...

hope you are feeling better still today... every day brings about a new pain or soreness, tis the pleasure of getting old!!! but then, you are that much the wiser... so there is comfort there!!

bonne journee mademoiselle!! ;)

I remember Claude telling me about the laws in Québec about the use of the French language and that it was very restrictive, like being obliged to work with French versions of softwares... and that she didn't like it one bit. I don't know how I would react, as I really love French (unlike her ?). I guess you're even more subject to the supremacy of English where you live. You know I love English but it gets tedious when everything has to be anglicized to be fashionable. Just an example, from some ads for two new mags I heard on radio recently, the first one is called Closer, and the second Mood. Guess it would not have the same feeling were they called Plus près et Humeur ;)

Still not feeling good, I hope the weekend will help me relax. Everybody at work today, seeing I wasn't feeling well and where I ached, asked me if I had already had appendicitis ;) Unfortunately, the answer is no. *prays fervently that she's not having appendicitis*

That's interesting to know you've been using Photoshop Elements to make your previous wallpapers. I also have Photoshop Elements, as it came with my scanner and I simply can't afford CS2 (Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign), and while very useful for my purposes (scanning, cleaning up shots, light retouching), it does have its limits.

Two versions of the same simple wall, because I looked at them on my computer at work and the one which seems the best here (the first one) seemed the worst there. Tell me if they appear too dark/light on your monitor.

From this computer, the second one pops out more due to the background. You might want to play around with Marion's skintone in the larger photo in the first one and see what happens.

I have a swollen ankle too. :( Feel better.

I got Elements with my Epson scanner too, and I can't afford PS7 or CS2 either, so it's a good thing there's a lot of nice people around willing to share. I think Elements was very good to begin with, and I learned a lot with it, but I needed something else to improve now, and it was always a pain in the ass when I was trying to follow tutorials that didn't match with my software.

This is exactly the contrary on my laptop, the first one is more vibrant even if the second one is lighter.

Is your ankle painful ? Hope you'll feel better soon too, I had a miserable night and I'm going to be late at work but I don't care. I'm not even sure I'll stay there all day.
