i'm all for moving. i'm moving my game to DW because i just really don't see LJ getting any better and i'm not keen on giving them any more of my money. they treat their userbase like crap and don't seem to care what we think or want. if SP stays on LJ, tho, i'll stay, cuz i love this game too much to let LJ ruin it for me. ♥ if you guys need any help with anything please let me know. idk what i could do but... i'm willing to help if and where i can. :3

Thanks for being our first to chime in! We'll keep you in mind for moving help or staying-put sprucing, whichever ends up happening.

I just want it known that this is PR, I play Crowley and Santana, and I voted with this journal. 8D;

Staying on LJ guarantees a gradual erosion of features and usability. Eventually we won't have subject lines anymore. The subject line issue could be worked around, a little bit, but my real concern is trigger warnings. I feel like many people won't use trigger warnings as much if it requires remembering additional HTML.

Additionally, I've heard some rumblings about comments from deleted journals disappearing. If that means losing content from old, deleted journals, then I would rather move than lose that content in old SP posts.

I believe the comments from deleted journals are only gone under the new style--in custom comment pages, the data is still there (unless the journal-deleter chose the option of deleting all their comments, of course.)

This isn't really a pro- or anti-moving comment, as I haven't decided myself what to vote, but just to get the most accurate info out there. Then again, if I'm wrong on this, please someone correct me!

Thanks, I'm glad to have the accurate information up here!

It makes sense that it's only the new style. However, it still concerns me, since Igrick and others have stated that eventually, the changes to S1 style will come to S2 as well. It makes sense to me that some day, we can expect to watch comments from deleted journals disappear.

This is the only game I'm really in right now so wherever it goes, I'll go. I've already nabbed a space for my characters on dreamwidth in case of a move, but will stay here if need be. That said, dreamwidth's layout is easier to manage for me since I bounce between multiple computers and don't have access to stylish on the machines that aren't mine (it makes navigating rp threads in LJ a hinderance, but not impossible).

Thanks for your input on multi-machine usability features. We've also secured our modjournal/comm names on DW, just in case.

Like I voted in the poll, I'm for moving to Dreamwidth, but I'll stay with the game no matter where it goes. If it stays, I'll stay too.

Opinion-wise: Unfortunately, I honestly don't think "wait and see what LJ does" is a good option, as they've been pretty firm on the "No, we're not changing it back no matter what." stance. That in addition to treatment of customers, and the constant issues the site has (re: unwanted and inconvenient changes, notif issues, DDOS attacks, etc. The DDOS I understand though.) that keep building up over time are starting to make it seem like it's time to move on.
