Operation: Steal the Core part 2
OKAY, so as you may or may not know, Kadaj is planning on a second attempt to steal the Core after convincing himself that the first attempt was what brought Yazoo and Liquid back. So, this is me attempting to work out... some kind of plan of action.
The attack is slated for FEBRUARY 18TH, which gives us some time to plan stuff. And as usual I have no idea how this is actually going to go down, because I'm awesome like that. (Read: Can't plan stuff if my life depended on it.) Thankfully, because Kadaj ain't that great at planning stuff either, I have an excuse. Kind of.
ANYWAY, as a general idea of what will be going down:
• Kadaj has gathered a few people also interested in getting their hands on the Core. This is our attacking party. They will probably not be very well coordinated.
• Essentially, Kadaj wants to make sure the guards are scattered and preoccupied, which is the purpose of the attack.
• He'll then leave the rest of his party to their fate while he makes a dash for the Core, because he's nice like that.
• Naturally, it won't go to plan. I bet nobody saw that coming.
• After things go to shit, it will probably end up as a disorderly retreat.
• The attack will be IMMEDIATELY BEFORE EVENING SIREN, which means the retreat will probably be edging into darkness.
• Furthermore, the attack will result in a CITY-WIDE BLACKOUT which will last for several days. So the retreat will be in pitch-black darkness! Funtimes!
The Core is guarded pretty heavily after a) Kadaj's first attempt to steal it and b) his oh-so-clever announcing his plan to try again over the network. There are Voids there, which means nobody will be able use their powers during the attack.
The attackers are generally people Kadaj knows who have expressed interest directly to him, but that doesn't mean nobody else can get involved! If you want your character involved in the attack, we can work something out. And of course there's room for characters to be involved in the defence of the Core. Police officers assigned to guard the Core (or not), people who just refuse to let Kadaj cause trouble (hi Rikubro), general passers-by... If you want in, that's cool!

IF YOUR CHARACTER IS LIKELY TO GET INVOLVED WITH EITHER THE ATTACK OR DEFENCE OF THE CORE, LET ME KNOW HERE!
As for how things are actually going to go down... I have no idea. A big semi-open log for people to thread out the fights if they want to? The problem with that being that there are quite a few characters involved and a lot of stuff going down at the same time, not to mention a fairly large NPC presence, so it could get messy.
So then, this post is for people to express interest and help me work out what's going down, both IC and OOC. Especially OOC! Let me know how you want this set up, as a log or whatever. If there are people from the attacking side and defending side who want to plan out individual fights and their consequences or something like that, that's awesome. Also let me know if you have any questions/concerns/ideas/suggestions/that kind of thing.
And... I think that's everything. For now. I WILL CONTINUE TO UPDATE THIS POST THROUGH THE WEEK LEADING UP TO THE ATTACK, so you may want to check back occasionally!
