Beatrice had never been shopping before. Not just that, she'd never had a 'boyfriend' before either. The label to her sounded silly, childish and certainly not something serious. No, perhaps Battler should instead be labeled the one who was courting her, but even that in itself sounded strange. If he wanted to call her his girlfriend, so be it. So long as she was the most impacting person in his life and of course, the most important.

Walking around the shopping center was a completely foreign experience. There were stores for everything, clothes, toys and even things that didn't exist yet. Everything was distracting and entertaining. If anything, she wouldn't fall victim to boredom anytime soon.

She wasn't sure where to go first. Which store to visit, what things to see. There was too much choice to make a choice and for a moment she simply stood, staring at it all, wondering what to do. Hopefully Battler would make a choice for them, for as it stood, she was dumbfounded.

Relax. Take a deep breath. Calm thyself. You can't take it back now so there's no point in worrying about it. This is what you get for speaking without thinking. Now it's biting you in the ass big time and there's nothing you can do about it. So shut up, grin stupidly like usual, and deal with it.Sometimes that little inner voice had a point. Inhaling a little to calm the storm surging inside, Battler slapped on his usual boyish grin and looked at Beato. He was about to ask her where she wanted to go when the words died at her expression. It was like staring at a little kid in a candy store filled to the brim with a variety of choices, but the kid didn't have the money, nor the stomach for that matter, to sample them all. Battler almost wanted to laugh because, well, whenever she acted this way it was very amusing. And kind of cute. But definitely by far mostly amusing ( ... )

When he laced their fingers together and began leading her toward a particularly feminine store Beatrice snapped out of her trance like state, not because they were finally moving toward a destination, but because of the feeling of their fingers intertwined. For some reason it was terribly embarrassing and she steeled her expression.

Now that she knew where they were going, she'd be leading. Plastering a smirk on her lips she began to tug him forward, swinging their hands back and forth as she hurried forward. "You're right, they won't buy themselves~" No, they wouldn't. Battler would.
