The bruises and scrapes all over his already scarred body were all worth it to get his point across to Sasuke anyways.
He pulled his black shirt on and then his jacket, leaving it unzipped as he limped over to the door and opened it up. "Oi. You're pretty damn early," he remarked, leaving the door open as he moved back to sit in the chair next to the table full of makeshift medical supplies.

He was up and moving, it didn't look like anything too serious. Temari took a spot on the couch so she could keep an eye on what he was doing. Dealing with injuries without help was a pain, since it usually had to be done one handed.
As grateful as she was to have a couple of allies she could rely on in this place, she did long for her brothers. When push came to shove, she didn't really know Kakashi or Naruto all that well. She still hadn't seen Naruto in action. What she had seen at the chunnin exams was a lifetime away from what the rumors said he could do.

"It's pretty damn early if..." He stopped mid-sentence as he hit a realization. Temari didn't know Kakashi like he did. It's no wonder she had shown up when she did. Oh, well. She'd soon find out the legendary copy-nin was tardy on a regular basis. "...Nevermind. You're right. It's not early, heh."
He pulled his shirt up and leaned back in the chair to stare at his bruised ribs. At least one of them was cracked considering it hurt to even breathe. He grabbed some more bandaging and measured out several lengths of it before slicing it off with a kunai. "Get the info y'needed on that resume thingy?"

"I have a decent start. I just have to narrow down the list of what kind of jobs to apply for. The economy is very different here, compared to a village. It's going to take me a couple more days of research to get caught up." She got a puzzled expression on her face. "And learn to type. It seems to be a necessary skill. Are you sure you don't need a hand? Wrapping your own ribs is a pain."

No sooner did those words leave Naruto's lips, did the click of a hand on the doorknob sound.
Kakashi was late -- having gotten a bit sidetracked with a few shops that had caught his attention. Shops that were strictly for adults and not at all the type of shop an acting Hokage should be visiting. But there were some vices that were too difficult to knock, and Kakashi's porn obsession was definitely one of them.
And to his great chagrin, he discovered the lack of Jiraiya's books in this world.
Which meant he would be stuck reading the three books he happened to have with him when he arrived. Lucky, too, that he'd thought to pack more on a long-distance trip to the Land of Iron. Normally, he just carried around one.
How very tragic indeed, that he would be deprived of the entire collection.
Also tragic was the creak of the door as it opened.
And then, there he was -- with his eye crinkled into a perfect arc, his hand raised in greeting. "Yo--"

Something light fell onto his head and bounced off, rattling slightly. Kakashi caught it just as it fell, and looked down at the offending object.
Huh. A ramen cup.
Well, isn't that just wonderful.

"Holy crap, it actually worked."
She had to make a note to herself: do not bet against Naruto. Finances were tight enough without funding his ramen addiction. Clearly there were some things about the acting Hokage that she was going to have to figure out. Including deciphering his humming.

Naruto snickered loudly from his spot. His plan had worked, but he didn't expect anything less. Kakashi was Kakashi. He was late, and he'd fallen into Naruto's trap. It had been a long time since the blond had had such a well-played prank. He'd almost forgotten how good it felt.
And it made him laugh, something that didn't happen much nowadays.
"Ohhhman... you never change, Kakashi-sensei, heheh. So where ya been? Lost on the road of life?" He had to pull back on the laughter a bit. It was starting to hurt his busted up side.
