Who: tots_prodigy and gentiana_clusii When: June 6, afternoon Where: Newcomer's Diamond Summary: Nagi and Ken discuss the past neither likes to think about Warnings: Violence and plenty of angst
Ken wasn't so optimistic as to walk out his door to this meeting unarmed. It was also true he had absolutely no intention of using the weapon strapped to his thigh, but having the familiar weight there made him feel a hell of a lot better. Calmer. That probably said something about him, and it wasn't anything good.
At the moment, he didn't really care.
It wasn't like he stood half a chance if Nagi got it in his head to go after him, Ken knew that. If he had a fistful of blades or not, it wouldn't make any difference at all. Neither would distance, but he was dependent on close range himself, so he stopped a bit farther away than what would warrant polite conversation. If Nagi wanted to close the space, he could. And he also stayed silent. This was completely Prodigy's show--Ken was just a willing player.
Nagi didn't need to be armed, but he didn't expect Ken to come without his claws. They were all paranoid people to some degree, given what life had tossed at them, so he knew what to expect in Ken's weapon. Or thought he did, anyway. He also didn't suspect him to make a move first, so he didn't bother with physically shielding himself. If it came down to it, he could put one up in a hurry.
He stepped in a little closer after Ken arrived, but remained just outside his reach. "It's completely your fault I ended up like this," Nagi began, not bothering to beat around the bush. Ken's actions had turned the spark of his hatred towards the world into a more proper fire and he saw no point in taking a while before he said it.
"Then why did you?" Nagi knew nothing about what she'd done or why Weiss had needed to kill her. That had been something Crawford refused to tell him and Eszett didn't have listed in his personal files no matter how far he dug.

"I didn't want to hurt her. If I'd had any other choice..." But there was always another choice, wasn't there? He could have chosen to do nothing.
