Triela was all business, as soon as she'd hung up with Battler- her handguns had been tucked away, loaded and quite ready for use, and then her... larger gun was packed up in her instrument case, and slung over her shoulder. Tie straight. Pigtails even. Coat smooth.

It was good.

Hilshire was nowhere to be found, and so no orders had been given. By that thinking, Triela shouldn't even be getting involved. But that Che guy had said...

He was right. It was, perhaps, a good idea to start doing things on her own, right? And what better way to start than by taking a foothold in familiarity? If this was indeed some sort of terrorist ring, Triela wanted to at least look into it.

Her stature wasn't impressive, but her posture was. She stood at the doorway of the back exit as if her back was a part of the frame. One of her gloved hands rested at the strap of the case at her shoulder. Her eyes were on her leather shoes.

"Hey there!" Battler greeted when he saw her. Oh, and as usual, any girl he met was much cuter in person than on an NV screen. Maybe after this, he could take her out on a real date that didn't involve gruesome murders and clueless witches. He grinned down at her and stuck out his hand. "Sorry, I don't think we exchanged names yet. I'm Ushiromiya Battler, but you can just call me Battler. Nice to meetcha."

His cheerful demeanor seemed out of place for such a situation and what they were about to get into, but that was Battler for you. Otherwise he would break down into a mess and that wasn't anything she needed to see. And besides, he had his own agenda to fulfill here.

"Battler." Her eyebrows raised, but she gave her own smile and took the offered hand to shake. "Then, good to meet you, too. I'm Triela. Forgive me for letting my interest get in the way of our introduction, before. Seems like it's a habit of mine."

Inasmuch as 'being unused to going through social situations on her own' could be called a habit.

Her hand returned to her side, and she shouldered her case, before turning to open the door. "I guess this shouldn't take too long, right? You're not obligated or anything."

Triela was a pretty name. Not something he had heard before, but very pretty all the same. "No apologizes are necessary, I do the same thing," he assured with a smile.

He eyed her case with interest. A musical instrument? She was as interesting as she was pretty but Battler kept his curiosity to himself for the time being. He might find out what was inside later, anyway. Maybe. Besides, now was not a time to chat up a cute girl! They had a crime scene to sneak to.

"All depends on what you're looking for, I guess. Me, I just want to confirm a few things." If he could just overhear the police conversation without having to actually see the body again, that would be more than all right with him.
