[With the horizon slowly gnawing away at the circumference of the Sun, and the darkest corners of the world just beginning to seep and decay, Undertaker finds himself homebound. His shovel, resting over a shoulder, is the tool of his day's toil in the cemetery. In the proper Victorian style, he closes ever grave he opens with little more than the steel spade. There's only the slightest urgency to his wobbling and yet strangely stable gait; Lee is home along and it's getting dark. The quiet moans of pain from the beasts of the night would strike it's opening chord soon enough. Even if the once reaper can defend himself easily against the monsters, the oozing rot that leads their charge remains a very real threat. He must make haste ( ... )

If you are to remain without life here, Elliot, it would be rude of me to make your brothers and friends mourn hopelessly a second time. [Long nails start at the throat, systematically unfastening the buttons of the late knight's coat one by one, exposing the placid chest beneath.] To have a Doll as a brother would be far better than to have him merely be dead, wouldn't you agree? heeh heeeh heeh

[Unlike the last time Elliot Nightray had disappeared, his Soul Gem had been left behind. Naturally, Kyubey had kept it safe and sound in the manor as he focused his efforts on Ahiru and his other contracts. But, just like how Elliot had returned before, the subtle tremor Kyubey detected within the gem alerted him to something exciting, if he knew what excitement truly felt like.

Elliot's body had been returned.

Immediately Kyubey set off to find it, Soul Gem in his mouth as he soon found himself materializing in Undertaker's basement where Elliot Nightray lay cold and lifeless. Up onto the corpse he jumped, wriggling in between Undertaker's hands to drop the Soul Gem in the dip of the boy's clavicle. It would take a moment or so for the soul to resonate with the body, a process that would leave Elliot literally gasping for air. Thus he sat up on Elliot's chest, turning his head to face the reaper.]

Hello. Elliot's not dead. I'm Kyubey!

[Stranger things had come through the door. Ever watchful blue eyes flash open in the dark corner. The undertaker was moving. Other people were here. He serves as a silent witness, the haunt in the corner of that quiet, gloomy basement room. Spare him nary a glance.]

[A tremor rips through the reaper as the tiny, rather adorable creature, appears out of no where. Longer fingers curl into palms, pulling hands away from the body for once in observation. This isn't any normal sort of creature- it's resonating, so something of the sort. Green eyes are stricken as he watches the little gem produced and laid upon Elliot's collar bones. No, it's not the little cat that's humming in his ears, it's the tiny glass and gold egg.

To say that he's not disappointed to hear that Elliot is alive would be a lie, though the curiosity of how something so completely dead could return. if it's true... The possibilities spiral in his mind. His dolls could rise.]

Hello~ [He coos at the little creature, patting the top of his head while his other hand places itself gently on Elliot's chest- so that he might feel when that heart begins beating again.] I am Undertaker. How is he not dead?
