And that’s when he said take it like a man... So I got on my hands and knees!
[The spotlight seeks him out, then, and he flutters his lashes a little.]
Oh, sorry! I didn’t see you there. Run along now, Stefan - I’ll meet you in the men’s room in ten.
[He addresses his audience now, legs crossed. He’s perched primly right on the back of some handsome, willing man.]You really ought to see the party going on out here in the Darkness! I don’t think I’ve had more fun in my life. And to think, I used to be just like all of you ordinary, boring people, living out your lives and dying inside a little more each day ( ... )

His hands itch to take Rapier and go out into the darkness to hunt for this shadow. But he knows that Franz has to see to it himself-- that was how they tackled Angeal's shadow.
He will leave Franz a text, then. He isn't sure if the other would accept his help after their conversation the last time the shadow appeared.]
If you wish to face off against this impostor of yours, feel free to ask me to accompany you.

You wouldn't happen to have a sword?

[Rapier was just sitting at a corner of the dressing room, waiting for its owner to take it home and so and so. But tonight, Genesis may give it a greater purpose.]

There are a few lessons we should have out of the way before class starts.
Lesson one. If you're my student, I will do anything it takes to keep you safe. Betray my allies, kill my kin, humble myself to beg to my enemies, endanger myself -- anything necessary ( ... )

-camera cut to rain, water, men and women running fleeing for high ground, screaming, children falling in the streets, getting trampled, drowning. water rising up and up carrying sheep and children and filth, rising fasterfasterfaster. a single ark sails by and they scream, reach out, call and beg in vain and hope and pray and choke on water and tears-
The man looks up. His eyes burn like stars.]
I don’t understand what the big problem is. [The Voice sends chills down spines, makes skin crawl. It sounds like lightning and revelation.] You whine and cry about bad things and good people. You want to know how this can happen.

That thing- that. That.]
No. [Softly, almost stunned, to the empty room.] No. No. [That's not Him. Even in the beginning, He loved them. He knows He did... right?
(even now the memories are slow, it's all caught up- judgment and wrath and mercy tangled together until He can't separate the flood from the rainbow, the dozen times He lovingly forgave Israel weighed against the one time He threw a child to damnation.)
No. He loved them. He still loves them, he's positive.]
No. That isn't me. That's never been me.
[He can't go out there. That would just piss It off more ( ... )

There was anger too. Bitterness. Rage. He had felt, for longer than he could name, that God had abandoned them. Him. Aslan had said he wasn't forsaken. He hadn't believed him, oh how he'd wanted to. But he hadn't.
And he knew this wasn't real. He did know that. But. It didn't stop what he felt. So he sat there, and shook.]

All of those orders that he could be following - should be following. Michael should leave his vessel and burn the city with all of its inhabitants to the ground without another thought like he'd done so many times before but he didn't. Instead he passes through the streets, invisible to the five senses, just watching humanity go about their business. Even thinks about trying to find this being that is and yet isn't his Father but instead...
Ignores Shadow!Him.
Well, it's not so much ignoring Him as it is letting God's will be done just as he said it - let humanity turn on itself and he runs. Okay so it's not the best interpretation ( ... )

I didn't want to be a monster. I never wanted to be one. I was going to be a hero and protect the light. But I wasn't good enough. I tried... I really tried, but I was too dark and I was too weak and everyone could tell. Maybe they could tell all along. What a failure. What a terrible Keybearer, he'll let the worlds down.
[A pause. The next few words have a peculiar emphasis to them.] He'll go astray again ( ... )

[The things that are in our hearts and minds deserve to stay there. Learning about friends from friends is a privilege. Not something he wants to learn by accident. That's why watching Terra's midnight channel makes his stomach turn. He knows exactly who's to blame for the this. Even now, after he's gone from the port, he's still ruining things.]
[Terra has his friends, his most important people now. They understand him the most, and know the intimate details of what he's been through much better than Sora. But still. He still remembers what it was like when Terra reached out to him.]
